Apart from Chinese, there are Manchu, Mongolian, Tibetan, Korean, Uyghur, and other fraternal languages. Commonly spoken Chinese does not include the languages of other nationalities but includes dialects in areas where Chinese is spoken. Because of the large number of Han people and the vast area where the Han language is spoken, Chinese has naturally become the main language of our country. Plus, it is also the official language of past dynasties.

Chinese mainly refers to oral and listening. Besides speaking and listening, Chinese also includes reading and writing.

Putonghua, as a part of Chinese, is the official standard language currently stipulated by the People’s Republic of China (It is also one of the official languages of the United Nations). Chinese is a common language for communication between Han people and different ethnic groups, with Beijing pronunciation as the basic pronunciation, northern dialect as the basic dialect, and typical modern vernacular writings as the grammatical norm.

1. Putonghua should pay attention to pronunciation.

Learning Mandarin must take into account three aspects: pronunciation, grammar and vocabulary. Differences in Chinese are highlighted in phonetics. Not only are there great differences in phonetics among major dialect areas, but there are also obvious differences in phonetics within regional dialects. However, the differences between dialects and Putonghua in vocabulary and grammar are limited. One can claim that Phonetic differences are the main causes of communication difficulties. Therefore, the key to learning Putonghua is to learn the standard pronunciation based on Beijing pronunciation, which can only be learned well through oral and ear training.

2. Accurate pronunciation is the most basic requirement of phonetic learning.

Whether the pronunciation is accurate or not is related to the ability to listen and distinguish. That is why we should first improve our distinguishing ability of pronunciation to learn Mandarin fast. On the basis of mastering the correct pronunciation, it is necessary to achieve complete proficiency through repeated practice.

Pronunciation refers to mastering the standard pronunciation of Chinese characters and words in Putonghua. It also includes correcting the phonetic habits that we inherit from our mother tongues. After all, these deviate from Putonghua pronunciation. The difference between dialect and Putonghua pronunciation is not irregular. If we know the corresponding rules of dialect and Putonghua pronunciation, we don’t have to memorize them word by word, but we can memorize them one by one. On the basis of pronunciation, we should gradually apply it to the actual oral language through reading aloud and conversation practice.

3. Pronunciation of Putonghua

The syllable structure of Chinese characters is divided into three parts: sound, rhyme, and tone. Sound is sometimes referred to as the prefix.; Rhyme is divided into three parts: the beginning, the end, and the abdomen; Tone, and word spirit, are reflected in the rhyme.

The pronunciation of Chinese characters should follow the syllable structure of Chinese characters. In order to achieve “round and smooth”, we should try our best to treat the pronunciation process of each Chinese character as “jujube-shaped.” This shape enables you to visualize the initial consonant or rhyme as one end, the ending as the other end, and the rhyme as the core.

It is the key to making one’s Mandarin purer to achieve the shape of the jujube nucleus. However, learning all world through this method is impossible. After all, it’s not a good idea to unilaterally emphasize that every word is like a nucleus. If you do this, you will inevitably violate the essence of language communication. Consequently, you will weaken the emotional color of voice, and destroy the rhythm of language.
